Executive Profiles

Mr. Eddie Brinson joined TAMARACK Technologies, Inc. in May 2009, retiring from active duty while assigned to the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), in the Nuclear Surety and Force Protection Branch. He comes to the company after completing a successful 24 year career in the U.S. Navy, as a Senior Security Specialist. His military career included 13 years of enlisted service as a Physical Security, Law Enforcement, and Force Protection officer successfully serving aboard a wide range of combatant Naval ships and shore installations. He also served as a K-9 Dog handler, training and utilizing both Patrol (attack) and Explosive Detector dogs.

In 1998, Mr. Brinson was selected for commissioning as a U.S. Naval Officer, under the Limited Duty Officer program; the program is designed to advance highly skilled Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and transition them into the naval officer ranks to serve as “technical experts” in their field.  Following his commission, Mr. Brinson again served at sea, shore, and major staff assignments, most recently completing a highly successful assignment with the Director, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), in the Nuclear Surety and Force Protection Branch. A recognized leader and SME, Mr. Brinson led a team of experts in the conduct of Vulnerability Assessments on the security, stowage, and movement of United States strategic assets. In addition, he led the first special team of professionals to assess the transit mission associated with United States Ballistic Missile submarines.

In addition to his extensive contributions to nuclear security, Mr. Brinson brings tremendous depth of experience in Physical Security Project Management solutions.  While serving onboard Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA following the September 11th attacks, Mr. Brinson was responsible for assessing and developing comprehensive and ground-breaking security solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities to one of the U.S. Navy’s most critical installations. The results of his efforts were immediately recognized and led to a U.S. Congressional budgetary plus-up for Naval Air Station Lemoore totaling more than $19.3 million dollars that was applied toward Physical Security improvements.

Mr. Brinson currently resides in the Washington D.C. area, with his wife, Vivian. They have two young adult sons.
